A Lot of news this week for Troop 770:

Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,

We had a good Troop and parent meeting last night! It was great to see all the old and new faces. Congratulations to the PLC that was elected (see below). The older Scouts are learning how to teach the younger Scouts, and hopefully the younger scouts are learning from them!

Also, congratulations and thank you to the new Troop Committee members!  The list has been updated on the Troop website. But of course, all parents are included as Troop Committee members!  We could not do what we do without parent involvement--it is part of Scouting. I mentioned that I would like to meet monthly--we will meet at RRPC at 7 pm on Mondays after the camping trip, Starting September 20.  I've added this tot the troop calendar. Meeting after the PLC helps us implement what the PLC has decided to do. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.

We do still need a couple of volunteers for Committee positions.  The most critical is Transportation/Camp Out Coordinator.  Second would probably be Fundraising. Please let me know whether you can help!

Don't forget the Eagle Ceremony next week! The ceremony is at RRPC at 2pm with a reception after, and this will take the place of our weekly Troop meeting.

See below for Scouting for Food.  I still need some volunteers to drive that morning. We will pick up bags from our assigned neighborhoods and then deliver them to Tucker High School.Sign up here.

The doughnut sale was a great success, and I want to thank you all for pitching in and helping the Troop. Thanks especially to Stephanie Evans for conducting this fundraiser for the Troop!!
The Troop will be camping at First Landing State Park this month, September 25-27. We will be going down Friday evening, but feel free to come down and join us Saturday if you cannot make it Friday evening. Be sure to Sign Up here.  Cost is $25 per Scout. We will work on advancement and enjoy activities on the beach..

New Scouts: Be sure to turn in your application and Medical Form if you have not done so. We will need the medical form before the camping trip.

See you all Sunday to celebrate our three new Eagle Scouts!
