Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,

Scouts and parents got some good information last night about backpacking. Thanks to Rod Adams and Stephen Gwyn for making presentationsBe sure to sign up for the backpacking trip. We need another adult and need to get a count of Scouts going.
Each Scout should bring a bag lunch to eat on the trail or in the car.  Scouts should bring a meal to prepare Saturday night (we suggest something freeze dried, which you can buy at Walmart - Forest Hill has the best selections), pop tart or cereal bar for breakfast, and snacks/trail food. We suggest 2 to 3 liters of water per Scout to drink on the trail and boil for dinner.  Please let me know if you have any questions about it!

If you did not pick up a peanut sales form, please pick one up at the next meeting or simply print the forms from the links below!

Stay tuned to the regular channels (Troop calendar, website, FB page, Sign Up Genius, and Twitter feed) for details about the Fishing Merit Badge opportunity.  If you have interest in volunteering at the Cub Camp on Oct 17th, please let me know!

On November 10th, I will need Scouts to attend a Webelos meeting to help teach them about Scouting!  This is in preparation for our November camping trip with the Webelos.  More details to come.

See everyone at the Troop meeting on Sunday!
