Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,

I hope everyone is having a great Spring Break!  It is a great time to enjoy the outdoors now that the weather is warming up.

For the Annual Father/Son Fishing Tournament April 18-19:
  • Add Hagan plans to leave Friday night and camp at his place at House Mountain to plan some of the projects Scouts will be doing in May.  All Scouts, especially PLC, are encouraged to camp Friday night to help plan for the May camp out.
  • We have a Scout taking the ACT but who would like to go to WVA later in the day Saturday. If you would like to leave after noon on Saturday, please let me know. Otherwise, I will plan to do so.
  • Scouts 15 and older (and any adults fishing) will need a license--a 1 day WV license is available online. Looks like you will need a trout stamp and the conservation stamp.
  • Unless you are going early or late, we'll leave from the Church at 7:30am Saturday.  Cost is $25 per Scout.
  • Be sure to sign up for the fishing trip so we know you are planning to come!
  • Just like last year, there will be numerous prizes.

Any Scout who would like to go to Philmont in 2016, please let Add Hagan or me know.  We would like to send a group from our Troop with the council contingent.  To go on the trip, a Scout must be First Class and 14 years old by 1/1/2016 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade before going to Philmont).

Remember,
there is no Troop Meeting Sunday, April 12 due to Spring Break.

Enjoy the rest of Spring Break!
