Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,

We had a great turnout for Trey's Eagle project Saturday. Thanks for helping him out--the benches are going to look great at the assisted living facility! And I know the residents will appreciate them every time they gather to sit on them to enjoy the outdoors.  Someone left a paper bag of screwdrivers at MR. Adams' house--let Mr. Adams know if they are yours.

The next Troop event will be the Annual Father/Son Fishing Tournament on April 18-19. We will be going to the Crable's place on the Lost River near Baker, WV.  Thanks to the Crables for allowing us to hold the event at their cabin.   Scouts 15 and older (and any adults fishing) will need a license--
a 1 day WV license is available online.  Looks like you will need a trout stamp and the conservation stamp.  We'll leave from the Church at 7:30am Saturday.  Cost is $25 per Scout.

Be sure to
sign up for the fishing trip so we know you are planning to come! Just like last year, there will be numerous prizes.  Here are are the winners from last year:

Biggest Fish & Almost Catcher of a Monster: Anthony
First Fish Caught & Smallest Fish (& also Catcher of Virus): Will E.
    Best Hooked Tree: Ethan
Most Relaxed Fisherman (Wake him up!): Jack
Best Supervisor of Others Fishing: Sam
Most Angst of A Fisherman: Adam

Remember, there is no Troop Meeting Sunday, April 5 or Sunday, April 12 due to Spring Break.

See you guys for the fishing trip!
