Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,

We had a busy Scouting weekend with our Troop trip to Peak Experiences and the PLC meeting Sunday. The Scouts had a great time at Peak climbing some very high and difficult routes. I think it may have whet their appetite for a climbing trip sometime in the future!

The PLC met to plan our upcoming Troop meetings and camping trips as well as to run through the Eagle ceremony (the Scouts also showed what excellent musicians they are in the sanctuary). There will be plenty of advancement opportunities at Scout meetings--don't forget your Scout handbook! And camping will include the annual H-SC trip, a backpacking trip, our annual father/son fishing tournament, and more!

Also this weekend, many Scouts scrambled to get 'Blue Cards' signed before our Court of Honor this coming weekend! Below is an updated list of advancement I have for the upcoming Court of Honor (not counting the 6 Eagle ranks being awarded!). Please let me know whether I am missing any of your ranks or awards. I don't want anyone to be left out!

Scout Sunday this weekend is going to be a huge event with the Church Service, Court of Honor and Eagle ceremony! Let's all meet early outside the sanctuary around 10:45am.  After church, we will eat lunch (sign up to bring something) and then have a brief Court of Honor. After that will be the Eagle ceremony at 1:30pm with reception to follow.

I look forward to seeing everyone Sunday.
