Scoutmaster's Message

Scouts & Parents,
Scouts had a good time at the Hampden-Sydney Merit Badge College Saturday! A total of twelve Scouts attended, and they worked on two merit badges--many Scouts completed two merit badges in one day (with some prerequisites, of course)! If your Scout has not given me his Completion Form (we did not use 'blue cards' at H-SC), please bring it to the next meeting!

Troop elections will be held at the next troop meeting, March 8th. Be thinking about whether you need a leadership position to advance! Check
Scoutbook to see what you might require.

We will have a parent's meeting at the end of our March 8thTroop meeting to coordinate the Troop Committee.  At Troop 770, we consider all parents to be on the Troop committee! Hope to see you all there March 8th around 4:45pm for a quick get-together.

We have several new Scouts joining us!  Max bridged over from Pack 720 on Saturday. Ben is also joining us, and his father Rick, who is an Eagle Scout, will join as an Assistant Scoutmaster.  We have three boys bridging over from Pack 738 on March 17: Lee, Nathaniel, and Mason.  Of course, Steve Gwyn will be coming home to 770 as well! Dave Martin has joined as a Troop Committee member and we are hopeful his son will be joining the Troop, too. We may have other Scouts joining as well, including some from other Cub Scout Packs.

For the March 17 Bridging Ceremony at Pack 738, I need several Scouts to volunteer to assist.  It is a big deal for the Cub Scouts to be welcomed by Scouts in their chosen troop at the bridging ceremony.

Please join me in welcoming all of our new Scouts and parents to Troop 770!
