Canoe Trip - Details

We have a great canoe trip planned this weekend, and the weather is going to be spectacular! Here are a few reminders:

* If you want to get an extra night of camping, please meet Mr. Crable at the Church at 7:00 PM on Friday night. Otherwise, everyone will be meeting at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning.

* You must bring $25 and a signed parental consent form in order to participate.

* For the canoe trip, do not take anything in the canoe that you do not mind losing! You will need some type of footwear that can get wet and muddy and does not come off in the water. It's going to be sunny, so pack some sunscreen. Life vests must be worn at all times while on the river.

* We'll leave our camping gear in the van. However, it is a 1/4 mile hike from the parking to the camp sites, so pack accordingly. You must bring your own mess kit (plate, utensils and cup).

* For those of you joining us after the canoe trip, we'll be at Powhatan State Park's canoe-in camp sites. Mr. Phillips will be tending camp until we arrive.

This may be our best outing ever, and we're looking forward to you enjoying it.
