On March 16 and 17 the Troop camped at Bear Creek Lake State Park in Cumberland County, Virginia. A short drive from Richmond, this lake was built at the end of the Great Depression by Virginians and not part of the CCC.  The lake was wonderful and offerred fishing and canoing.  Scouts went on a nature hike and enjoyed skipping rocks.  A storm blew through almost blowing tents into the lake!
